The 27th Annual Garden Tea is here! Every Summer Westfield comes together to celebrate the women of our community, enjoy tea sandwiches and trifles, and wear fun and fabulous big hats. This year is a special Tea as we celebrate and focus on Supporting Community. We are thrilled to announce this year's Garden Tea honorees, three truly incredible women. Read on to find out who they are and how to join us in June!
This year’s honorees represent women in the community whose compassion, selflessness, and able to bring positivity to everyone they come in contact with! Our honorees are Rebecca Hart and Melissa Cahalan of the Westfield Food Pantry, and Jillian Battles, Westfield Highschool senior, Bags for Bravery founder and winner of the 2025 Colleen Award.

Every day they work hard on their teen giving program, food truck, pantry, and go above and beyond for the people they know as friends and neighbors. You have probably seen them all over town helping the people of Westfield pursue a dignified way of living.

History of the tea:
The Garden Tea started in 1998 when the Women realized they would be unable to support the Open Door Nursery with their usual $600 donation. Time was short to fundraise. With only 6 weeks left in the season, Miriam Reed submitted an idea of an English High Tea to be held at her home on West Road. Along with family, friends, and the hellp of the entire Woman’s Club, the tea was a great success! We’ve moved venues and added a few treats but keep the traditions of the Tea and Miriam Reed alive.
